Many communities in Michigan are experiencing economic and cultural rejuvenation, largely driven by entrepreneurs and investors. This has resulted in the emergence of innovative industry clusters around FinTech and other technologies. This talk will tell the story of the decline and rebirth of the cities of Michigan, an important tale for communities that are currently pursuing their own rejuvenation.
Guest Speaker: Mr. Thomas Coke, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is currently the President of SafeWhistle, an online encrypted whistleblower service. He has worked with several successful startups in the finance space, as well as in venture capital, angel investment and crowd funding groups.
